What I teach

Three routes, one tutor who knows your child

Every student gets a plan built around where they are now and the exam they are actually sitting — not a generic syllabus.

Year 5 – Year 6

11+ Preparation

Grammar and independent school entrance: maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, plus timed practice so exam day feels familiar.

Maths

From shaky foundations to grade 9 stretch. We fill the gaps first, then drill exam technique on past-paper questions.

KS3 – GCSE

Science

Biology, Chemistry and Physics taught with the required practicals and the six-mark answers examiners are looking for.

How it works

From first message to first marked homework

  1. 1

    A free 10-minute chat

Pick a slot that suits you. We talk about your child, their school, and what they are finding hard.

  2. 2

    A free trial lesson

Your child meets me and we work through a real topic together. No commitment either way.

  3. 3

    A plan you can see

I set out the topics we will cover and roughly how long each will take, so progress is never a mystery.

  4. 4

    Weekly lessons

Live lessons, slides and notes in the portal, homework set and marked, and me a message away in between.

The student portal

Everything in one place, all week long

Your child logs in with one family account. Simple enough for a ten-year-old, and you can see exactly what has been set and how it was marked.

  • Lesson slides & notesEvery lesson's slides, worked examples and revision notes, saved after each session.
  • Homework with a due dateSet by me, ticked off by your child, submitted straight through the site.
  • Marks and written feedbackI mark inside the portal, so the score and my comments sit next to the work itself.
  • Message me directlyParents and students can ask a question between lessons without swapping phone numbers.

Questions parents ask

Before you book

What does my child need for a lesson?

A laptop or tablet, a quiet spot, and a pen and paper. Everything else — slides, worksheets, past papers — is in the student portal.

Do you teach my child's exam board?

Yes. I teach to AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC specifications — just tell me which one their school follows and I will plan around it.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes. I am a medical student and DBS checked, and I have volunteered teaching children for several years. I am happy to share my certificate before we start.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer. I will send you my details after the trial lesson, along with a simple record of the lessons each payment covers.

Can I see how my child is getting on?

Yes. The family login shows every piece of homework, its mark and my feedback, and you can message me directly at any time.

What if we need to rearrange?

Just let me know two working days ahead and we will find another time at no charge. Illness and emergencies I will always be reasonable about.

Let's talk about your child

Ten minutes on a video call is usually enough to tell whether I am the right tutor for them. If I am not, I will say so.
